Dual Coloured Biscuit Rolls
Ingredients of Dual Coloured Biscuit Rolls :
120 g butter
100 g icing sugar, sifted
200 g flour, sifted
1 egg, beaten
2 tsps strawberry essence
1 egg yolk, beaten
how to make Dual Coloured Biscuit Rolls
method :
1. Cream butter and icing sugar with and electric mixer. Beat in egg bit by bit until creamy. Add in flour, mix well to form dough. Wrap 1/2 of the dough with plastic sheet. MIx well remaining dough with strawberry essence, wrap with plastic sheet. Chill both in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
2. Roll out bot the dough portion into two 14 cm x 20 cm rectangles.
3. Place the plain dough on a sheet of waxed paper and brush with egg yolk. Place the other strawberry flavoured dough on top. Roll up and freeze until hard. discard waxed paper, cut into thin slces and arrange on a greased baking tray. bake in an oven preheated to 175oC / 245o for 20 minutes. Let cool and serve
